TRACTOR SUPPLY COMPANY, TEXAS ROADHOUSE TEAMING UP AT FRANKLIN RODEO TO BENEFIT WILLIAMSON MEDICAL CENTER

PORTION OF MAY 16 TICKET PROCEEDS TO SUPPORT ‘TOUGH ENOUGH TO WEAR PINK’ FUND

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (May 4, 2009) – Tractor Supply Company, locally headquartered in Williamson County, and the Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Franklin have recently announced they will sponsor the ‘Tough Enough to Wear Pink’ night on May 16 at the 60th annual Franklin Rodeo.

Tractor Supply and Texas Roadhouse will match a portion of the proceeds generated from tickets sales at the event on May 16.  The Williamson Medical Center’s Breast Health Center will be the recipient of the donation to be used for the support of research, awareness, education, screening and treatment of breast cancer.

“Tractor Supply appreciates the opportunity to make a positive impact for those in Williamson County affected by this disease through our sponsorship of the ‘Tough Enough to Wear Pink’ night at the Franklin Rodeo,” said Jonathan Swiskow, director of marketing at Tractor Supply.  “Many of our customers are involved in the Western lifestyle to some degree, and we feel like this is an excellent opportunity to raise awareness and funding within this audience.”

Texas Roadhouse in Franklin will also host a ‘Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night’ at the restaurant on Wednesday May 13th to kick off the Franklin Rodeo during which 10 percent of the proceeds that day will be donated to the fund.

“We are honored that our legendary food and legendary service will be a part of this great event,” said Dave Sheaffer, store manager of Texas Roadhouse in Franklin.  “Teaming up with such a great organization is outstanding for our community, and we couldn’t be more excited.”

The Franklin Rodeo is scheduled for May 14-16 at the Ag Expo Center in Franklin.  Tickets may be purchased online at www.franklinrodeo.com.  Also in support of the rodeo, Tractor Supply is the official sponsor of the steer wrestling competition throughout the event.

Franklin Rodeo Executive Director Bill Fitzgerald is excited about the partnership.

“This is a great opportunity for the Franklin Rodeo to be partnered with Tractor Supply Company and Texas Roadhouse to help raise funds for the Williamson Medical Center’s Breast Health Center,” said Fitzgerald.  “Raising awareness and money to help in the fight against breast cancer in our community is so important, and we are grateful to be a part of it.”
