What time should we arrive for the Franklin Rodeo Parade?
Please refer to the Parade Entry guidelines above for detailed arrival times and instructions. You will receive an email closer to the parade with specific information regarding staging, lineup locations, and timing. Please read all instructions carefully and follow directions to help ensure a smooth and wonderful parade.
Are people allowed to walk alongside our float?
Yes, people can walk alongside your float, provided they keep up with the parade's pace. Stopping or holding up the parade is NOT permitted; it’s important to keep the parade moving smoothly.
Are we allowed to tow a trailer in the parade?
Yes, you are permitted to tow a trailer in the parade. However, all trailers must have appropriate safety features, such as a safety chain between the float and the pull vehicle, to ensure a safe and smooth procession.
Are we allowed to hand out items along the parade route?
Yes, you can hand out items along the parade route, provided it does not slow down the parade or disrupt its flow. Items handed out must not be political in nature, and participants must keep up with the parade's pace to ensure it moves smoothly without delays. Stopping or holding up the parade is not permitted.
Are we allowed to give out candy during the parade?
Yes, candy can be given out during the parade, but it must NOT be thrown from the float or vehicle. For safety reasons, it must be handed out by someone walking alongside the float. This is allowed as long as it does not slow down the parade’s flow, and participants keep up with its pace. Stopping or causing delays is NOT permitted.
Are restroom facilities available?
Porta Johns are provided by the Franklin Parks Department in Jim Warren Park. Additional restroom facilities are available at the Shell station located at 11th Avenue and Highway 96W.
