Horse Parade Entries

Horse Parade Entries Instructions!

Staging area: Jim Warren Park, near the corner of Boyd Mill Ave and Highway 96 West. Rotary Staging Directors will be on site at the staging area.

Horses will line up on a first-come basis, in the order in which you arrive. Our Rotary Staging Directors will assist you with this on site, so please check in when you arrive.

Please only park your horse trailers in the designated PAVED areas. DO NOT park in the grass areas as they have sprinkler heads that might get damaged if driven over.

The parade starts at noon. Arrive by 10:00 am to prepare, as traffic worsens by 11:00 am. Ensure your horse and gear are ready, and be lined up by 11:30 am..

Ensure your parade entry number is clearly written on an 8x10 paper and displayed on the right (passenger) side of your vehicle for the MC to announce at the town square. Your entry number should have been emailed before Parade Day. If you didn’t receive it, contact the Parade Director at parade@franklinrodeo.com

What to do at the end of the Parade: The parade route will take you down West Main Street and turn right onto 11th Avenue North. From there turn left onto Boyd Mill Avenue, then right onto Culberson Blvd where you can enter the Staging Area at Jim Warren Park. Please do not ride on New Hwy 96 because all the roads will be open to traffic by the time you arrive back to Jim Warren Park. PLEASE follow the instructions for Horses!

*Note - Band & Dancer Entries will take a different route back to their staging areas. They will continue down 11th Avenue North and cross New Hwy 96 to return to their Staging Area at Johnson Elementary where they are free to depart. Floats, Cars & Truck Entries are free to depart at New Hwy 96 or continue across to their Staging Area at Freedom Intermediate.
